A little garden discovery.
Enjoy a short walk together, or bring a few leaves and vegetables to the table.
Four things to notice
- Find a color. Name a color, then look for something that matches it.
- Spot a shape. Look for something round, long, pointed, or heart-shaped.
- Count a small group. Count leaves, stones, or vegetables together. Point to each one as you count.
- Tell the story. Draw or describe one thing you noticed. What would you like to find next time?
Stay together outdoors. Look without picking or tasting unfamiliar plants.
